The Korean Poetry Reading Competition succesfully opend

at Arisu korean restarant on May 17 , 2015 

 

 

 

 

The Korean Poetry Reading is a competition, designed to help all students of Korean School, Korean American 2nd generation, foreign students to share a beauty of Korean literature and to learn better Korean language and think carefully about the ingredients of a successful performance reading.  All students of Korean School including foreign adult participate in the competition via their Korean lessons. 

 

Students select and read either an extract of prose or a poem in the preliminary rounds and read both in the semi-final and final; every year the audience hears both new versions of old favourites and are introduced to exciting works for the first time.

This year's competition was judged by Hank Yoo, the Kcul foundation board member and Wonyi Chun (10th gr.) was awarded the first prize.
